What are add-on domains, and why should I use them?

Add-on domains let you connect multiple .realtor and .realestate domains to a single website. Instead of creating and maintaining separate websites, you can forward additional domains to your existing website so visitors always end up in the right place.

Why use add-on domains?

There are many reasons to own more than one .realtor or .realestate domain:

  • Protect your brand. Register variations of your name, team name, or brokerage brand to strengthen your online presence.
  • Support your marketing. You may want different domains for a team, niche, or market while keeping one primary website.
  •  Increase your visibility with AI. Owning relevant .realtor and .realestate domains gives AI-powered search tools and assistants additional signals that can help them discover and associate your brand with your real estate business.
  • Simplify your online presence. You can use multiple domains without managing multiple websites.
  • Make it easier for clients to find you. People may remember or type a different version of your domain. Additional domains help ensure they still reach your website.

What problem do add-on domains solve?

Add-on domains help prevent missed opportunities when potential clients enter a different .realtor or .realestate domain than your primary one. Rather than landing on an error page or another website, visitors are automatically directed to your existing website.

They also eliminate the need to build duplicate websites. You can maintain one website while using multiple domains to increase your reach and strengthen your brand.

What should I do with multiple domains?

Choose one domain as your primary website and forward your additional .realtor or .realestate domains to it. This gives every visitor a consistent experience while allowing you to manage just one website.

For example, if your primary website is JaneSmith.realtor, you could also own JaneSmith.realestate, YourCity.realestate, YourBusiness.realtor, YourNiche.realestate, etc., and forward them to your existing website. No matter which domain a visitor enters, they'll arrive at the same website.

Forwarding your add-on domains is a simple way to maximize the value of your domain portfolio while keeping your website easy to manage.
